What is the difference between a picture and a portrait? Pictures are the quick snapshots, the selfies, the vacation photos. They document the day-to-day activities. Portraits are intentional and make the statement of who you are.

A great portrait should have personality, evoke an emotion and communicate something authentic about you. Maybe something playful, mysterious, or sophisticated. Things that get considered is mood, clothing, location props expression lighting color personal story.

This is where editorial photography comes in. There should be collaboration between you and the photographer. This is why we start with a consultation. Our goal isn’t for you to have another nice picture. It’s to have a portrait that’s soo you.
